Management Team

Wilkuro’s management team is made up of experienced professionals who are committed to quality and safety. The company has experienced very low turnover over the years and the founders are still actively involved in the company.

John Wilson, Sr., (Jack) Co-Founder, President, and Sales Manager

Prior to co-founding Wilkuro, Jack spent 30 years at Maple Leaf Foods. Jack was responsible for sourcing and scrutinizing all safety equipment coming to the plant. He served on Safety Committees and had an outstanding record for plant safety. Jack believes in the importance of safety for all people entering plant facilities and the importance of delivering superior customer service. He studied Mathematics at Ryerson in Toronto. Jack sits on the Board of Directors.

George Kuropas, Co-Founder, Vice President, and Operations Manager

Before co-founding Wilkuro, George was co-chairman of the plant safety committee and in charge of all safety related issues at Maple Leaf Foods. He served as their Distribution Manager for over 30 years. George believes in loyalty, honesty and integrity. George studied Business Management at Ryerson in Toronto and is certified in Material Management. George sits on the Board of Directors.

Shirl Romanow, Secretary/Treasurer

Shirl spent 30 years in the insurance industry and has contributed to the success of multiple entrepreneurial organizations. Shirl is a champion amateur golfer. She has sat on provincial boards for the Golf Association of Ontario and was district chair for over ten years. Shirl sits on the Board of Directors.
